Rockfield Marathon

The Rockfield Elementary Marathon, hosted by PTA, gives each student a fun way to complete a half marathon (13.1 miles) or a full marathon (26.2 miles)! We encourage students to run or walk laps in the school field during their lunch recess. The marathon promotes physical fitness, while recognizing students’ hard work, dedication and accomplishments.

Students will have two weeks (10 school days) in September to complete laps (if there are rain days we will extend it), then 10 more days in the spring. Students can earn 7 laps a day, for a MAXIMUM of 140 laps per year. Laps are recorded daily by parent volunteers and added to the laps completed in the spring.
